I've been watching Survivors this weekend which is good. I do have a weak spot for apocalypse stories and someone at work told me it's good. So yes, watching. It reminds me a bit of Jericho, but then with less urge to strangle a certain character and wanting to throw up at a OTP.

Mmmmmm apocalypse. Admittedly, it makes me twitchy now when they said that the flu going around is officially an epidemic now. *eyes reality warily*

Um so... I booked my flight to Chicago for my next holiday.

I am home... and I keep trying to type qwerty instead of azerty. Rarrr.

Anyway, home after a rather uneventful flight back. I came home, tried to watch some telly and promptly fell asleep for half an hour after which I felt just sick so I ended up sleeping through most of the day. Then had new year's dinner with my aunt, uncle and niece.

Colorado was pretty. Boulder is lovely. Getting there is a ( completely different story. )

Basically, it was just a great, but short, trip. It was great seeing my sister again and seeing where she lives. The Rockies are gorgeous and impressive. The weather was actually nice when we left. The wind was horrible for a day and the first two days was colder, but then it was just mild and warmer than it is here. I didn't really want to leave. Either New England is very different from the rest of the US or maybe Boulder is, but I seem to be enjoying the US more after each trip. There's a certain type of mentality that we could use over here.

Big thanks to aj and amilyn for their cards today. I must say it's quite a feat calling someone dude and woman in one card. It amused me greatly. And I got one from anomilygrace last week, but there was glitter so I'm not sure if I should thank her for that. Then again. *loves on her*

My mom is trying to guilt trip me into writing cards this year. So with every one I received, I've got a snippy "you're writing cards" remark. The thing is, I gave up on cards a long time ago. I would only get around to them when it was ridiculously late the next year and then it seemed pointless. It's not hard to guilt trip me into it, really. I already feel badly about it, but then... Should I write cards? It won't get done until next year if I do. *headdesks*

I have one day to get everything together tomorrow and then I'm going off to visit my sister. I'm a bit nervous for some reason. Oh travelling gitters.

I have ten days off in a row. How awesome is that? The longest vacation I've had since I started working. Wheeee! December I'm going to have 13 days off. I'll probably be heading over to Boulder, CO to visit my sis then.

We went to the store earlier. Of course, it was crazy busy. Either way, I got myself a shiny new external harddrive. It's a Toshiba, 1TB. They said it would be formatted at the factory, which it wasn't. So I'm formatting it right now.

I also bought House of the Flying Daggers. It was pretty cheap and came in a shiny metal box. Shhhh. Add that to the entire Babylon 5 series I bought on Amazon (and the order I'm going to place soonish with Robin Hood (Disney!) and I'm doing a lot of spending. On the other hand, my sis got me the entire Coupling series on DVD. Which I just saw in the store for a whopping 67€. Which wow... I think it was about a third of that on amazon.
