aj and amilyn for their cards today. I must say it's quite a feat calling someone dude and woman in one card. It amused me greatly. And I got one from anomilygrace last week, but there was glitter so I'm not sure if I should thank her for that. Then again. *loves on her*
My mom is trying to guilt trip me into writing cards this year. So with every one I received, I've got a snippy "you're writing cards" remark. The thing is, I gave up on cards a long time ago. I would only get around to them when it was ridiculously late the next year and then it seemed pointless. It's not hard to guilt trip me into it, really. I already feel badly about it, but then... Should I write cards? It won't get done until next year if I do. *headdesks*
I have one day to get everything together tomorrow and then I'm going off to visit my sister. I'm a bit nervous for some reason. Oh travelling gitters.
If anyone feels so inclined to give me a meme, I will try to get these done tomorrow.

Because she managed to have everyone believe she stayed in control thereafter, when all she could think was that she was falling apart.

Date: 2008-12-23 04:47 pm (UTC)2) She never fell in love with Helo. Sure, he was cute and pretty good in the sack, but he had that puppy look and if she fell for him, she'd screw him over. He still got screwed over, but at least Kara wasn't responsible and she didn't lose a friend.
3) She never fell in love with Tigh, because was a drunken asshole and too much like her.
4) She never fell in love with Lee Adama. She wanted too when she was drunk enough, but then she'd sober up and remember that he was never anything like Zak. And maybe if she'd never fallen for Zak, she could have fallen for Lee, but there are no maybes and Lee needs to get that stick out of his ass already.
5) She never fell in love with Baltar. He was just too easy to play.

He has a lot of morals and he wants to do the right thing, but it all gets thrown overboard when it comes to certain subjects (his ex, his lawyer, etc). Then, he turns into a complete asshole with a rather dangerous streak too. The way he obsesses about his ex, almost stalks her, harasses her husband. Those are the moments that I stop and wonder exactly why I love this character so much. It's like he loses sight of what lines he can and can't cross and he just acts because it suits him and screw being a cop. He wants a certain thing and he won't stop for anything to get it. He'll completely blind sight anyone who cares about him and just go straight for his goal, thinking that the end justifies the means. Even if that end is completely selfish and only in his own best interest.
