No, I haven't rewatched the episode yet but I was just generally thinking about it. From the moment we get stuck with two Crichtons it's clear that one has to die. So in a way, it's not totally unexpected that they kill Talyn!John off. Still, at this point in the series Talyn!John has become the John and the other one the clone.

And yet, I remember not worrying about his death. It wasn't John dying that broke me up inside, it was all about Aeryn. It was Aeryn breaking and crying, something that is so rare, that broke me into little pieces. It's simple; when Aeryn hurts, you hurt too because it is so hard to get this woman down on her knees.

So when John dies and she lies down beside him, it hurts to frelling much.

Oh, God, yes. It broke her. Completely broke her. Killed me. I still can't even think of "I'm different because I love you" without turning into a blubbering mess. And the whole of the death scene is.. just... *sobs*

Weird, but I always considered the Moya Crichton the real one and the Talyn one the clone. Maybe because I watched the eps out of order - I didn't see the ep where Crichton was cloned and was confused because the episodes had him jumping around in different settings with several of the cast members missing. When I read what the plot point was, I just assumed the Moya Crichton was the real one and it's stuck with me to this day.
