State the obvious, dude. This is way too easy. Of course Daniel is god. Let's start with the most glaringly obvious argument of them all. Gods do not die (ask Apophis). How many aliens have tried to kill Daniel and have all failed? There is no getting rid of this guy, he just will not die.
Now why would a god be amongst us and fight to save earth? Simple, he just can not stand that the goa'uld are pretending to be him. They're cranking his style so he wants them to stop, of course as a god you can not just step in and make everything magically disappear. That's just not something a god does. So he decided to take on the life of Daniel Jackson and help earth rid the universe of the fake gods.
Some might argue that Daniel is a mere human but let me just point out some things. First of all, his glasses. They aren't real glasses, it's just glass. Daniel can actually see perfectly fine without them. A god doesn't have bad eyes after all. And have you looked at his body? Is that how you think an archeologist/linguist looks like? Oh come on, those guys wouldn't recognise a gym if it jumped up and bit them. Let's not forget his superior intellegence. Only a god can know this much about earth. There is no way that one mortal human could possibly know this much about earth culture, languages, history and archeology. As a god of course it is easy, his omnipotence allows him to know everything and sometimes he just pretends to look something up in a book to make sure no one else notices that he's way smarter than anyone. But what about his memories about his parents? They were fake of course, he knew what the machine was doing and projected memories of his dead parents (so no one else could go visit them) to distract it.
Now some you might argue that Daniel nearly died but didn't thanks to Oma. Let me just say; WRONG. Oh so very wrong. Daniel is a god, we just established that, he does not need the help of a minor superior being to ascend. Actually, his death was just an excuse. Daniel knew something bad was coming and that only his god powers could save earth. The ancients couldn't do it, their powers only go that far and even if they could have, they wouldn't have helped. He needed a way to use his powers and not blow his cover as mere human. He found one, he died. His already superior mind had no problem at all to ascend. Then, at the right time, he used his god powers and saved everyone. Of course, the ancients got mad at him but he didn't want to stay there anyway.
There is one more argument that will prove that Daniel is indeed a god. It's his superior morals. More than once has he proven that his morals stand high above those of any SG-1 member. He knows what is the right thing to do. He knows how to act ethically and he proves this daily when he argues with Jack. Only a true god knows what is right and what is wrong. Daniel knows this, thus Daniel is a god.

You are SO right. It's not that I didn't see Daniel as a god before, but now you have given me the proof. ;)
After all, godliness is only one short step up from saintliness.

Date: 2005-01-25 08:00 pm (UTC)I think the clincher for me is the bit about how he knows so much. I mean, really--a human knowing 23 languages? *faints, worships*

Date: 2005-01-26 04:17 am (UTC)Black and white are both not colours, which sets them apart from green, blue, red etc. Black is actually what occurs when there is no reflection of light. This is why it is possible for white to turn black. Example: when driving at night. Due to the lack of reflection, the white is no longer visible and turns completely black. Hence, white is black when there is no light.
Now let's take this reasoning one step further. When one is outside during the day, there is always light - no matter how little. So really, the road can't be black because otherwise that would mean that there is no light. So if the road isn't black and it isn't coloured, then what is it? The only other option remaining is that the road is actually white.
Think that will do?
