Mom: Brussels sprouts.
Jara (who doesn't like those): Brussels sprouts?
Mom: Yes, Brussels sprouts.
Jara: Really?
Mom: Do I need to say it in chinese?
Jara: Okay.
Mom: Chicory.
Jara: That's Brussels sprouts in chinese?
Mom: Yes.
Jara: So what do they call chicory in chinese?
Mom: Brussels sprouts.
Jara: That's a bit crazy.
Mom: Well the Chinese are.
ETA: Jara makes it downstairs and notices something in the kitchen:
Jara: There are chicory AND Brussels sprouts in the kitchen.
Mom: That's what you get with those Chinese.
Mom: Brussels sprouts.
Jara (who doesn't like those): Brussels sprouts?
Mom: Yes, Brussels sprouts.
Jara: Really?
