I bought a new bike. I've only had this third hand bike for a few years now which is just a disaster to ride, but it was well enough to stand by the station and not be stolen. So now, after my vacation and realising how much I miss having a good bike, I went out and bought one.
It's a Thompson (they're a belgian brand) and I loves it. It doesn't have the pretty curve most American bikes have, but I do like the design. More importantly, it rides like a dream. Switching speed goes so smoothly. I love it muchly!

Mountain bikes are hard, though not as bad as 10-speeds, and I can't tell for sure about yours.
But I'm SO glad it rides well! And what a great kickstand and wowza brakes!
