woodfaceMy dream tonight featured cutting up people. I either read too much Fullmetal alchemist or shouldn't have watched two eps of Bones in one evening. Let me just say that I was chopping them up in self defense.
And while we're at it, I want to ramble a bit about Fullmetal alchemist. I've watched the entire anime on youtube a while back and am now slowly making my way through the manga. It's a cruel series and I sort of hate them for killing off some of my favourite characters. It's kind of odd as I don't think they would have been my favourite characters if I hadn't seen the anime first. In some way, the anime makes you like the characters a lot more than the manga does. I think I like the storyline of the anime better as well. The manga however is perfect in fleshing out the characters.
I've always liked Mustang and Hawkeye in the anime and dabbled a little ship. However, the manga is making me love them. The parts I was reading yesterday had me squeeing my head off. Hawkeye is so loyal to Mustang. In the anime she's a steady fixture, someone who saves Mustang's ass and is always there to watch his back. In the manga you get to understand just how much she really is there. I love these two to pieces. And again, I'm shipping a Colonel and his second in command. *facepalms*
Anyway, why do I love them? Because they're both willing to lose themselves over the other and wrap it up in a bow and pretend that it's their duty. When she gets attacked and goes out of contact, he freaks and leaves headquarters to go save her. And he does, but she scolds him afterwards for putting himself on the line and he agrees that he's an idiot. I don't think he'd put up with the scolding from anyone else. Then later, they make her think he's dead and she just loses it. She fights and fights until she realises it's pointless and crumbles down crying. He saves her ass and then later on scolds her for losing the will to live for him. And she just stands there, taking it all. And she's tired, has been up as long as he has and still refuses to go sleep because she needs to protect him and it's her duty and and... God, I love these two.
In conclusion. I need Hawkeye and Mustang icons.
And I know I've done this already, but it's a fun meme and my fandoms and ideas keep changing so it never gets old:
