Uh yeah, so I never liked any of the Wormhole X-treme eps to begin with. I think this is the best in the series, but I'm still kind of meh about it.
It's a good thing they kept RDA hidden for a while. His voice is less annoying than having to see him. Yep, I still think he's bored out of his mind and that he should stay the hell away.
And Cam is indeed from 1970. Only, if this is right he's probably born in May. Bah getting jossed. I loved him getting worked up about the joke though. I love him knowing exactly how many mission files there are and omg, how the hell can he remember each one of them. Okay, I also adore him counting his gate travels because that's so Cam.
Definitely didn't like the whole 'replacing joke' they made. Fandom's stupid enough, they don't need to get fueled even more.
*handwaves rest of ep* Is it next week yet?
ETA: I think I loved the Star Trek bit best.
ETA2: ZOMG, Cam called Sam 'Samantha'!

Date: 2006-08-19 01:55 pm (UTC)And Vala's Wizard of Oz was funny as hell, too :)
I love the fact that the show doesn't take itself too seriously.
The only thing I didn't really like was the end... I was hoping they'd walk through the gate and there would be a party for Cam's 200th trip through the gate.

Date: 2006-08-19 02:38 pm (UTC)Oh, and speaking of "Indeed," I would totally watch a "Teal'c, PI" show. That would be made of pure rocket-fueled awesome.
I was a bit dismayed, especially after showing the Oz-ified Cam, Daniel, and Teal'c, that Oz-ified Vala's outfit wasn't more of a Vala-fied Dorothy costume, rather than, y'know, something you might expect her to wear on a daily basis.
Thor! Buddy! They got Thor in a couple of times, which is always a bonus. Also, Teryl Rothery showed up on last night's Atlantis, during part of the mind-fuck Weir was getting in the A-plot of the ep. She's not identified as Dr. Frasier, though, but rather is just a random nuthouse nurse.
I dunno. I enjoyed the ep, as just "look at us make a bunch of in-jokes" entertainment.
As a footnote, I don't know if you got the SciFi Inside special they did before "200", but awesomest moment ever was an outtake from the 1st season ep where Jack and Sam were stuck in Antarctica, and when Jack says something about "I don't know what to do," Sam just totally launches into this tirade about, "You were MacGyver! We've got belt buckles and chewing gum and stuff, you should be able to make a freakin' nuclear reactor!"
