Can someone please enlighten me as to what Ronaldo did to deserve the constant whistling any time he went near the ball? Don't get me wrong, I don't have much love for him at all. I just want to know what the hell happened to warrant this sort of reaction. It wasn't like people were outright whistling against Portugal, it was just whenever he was near it.

So what gives? I missed the first half. Or is this a fall out from the match against England?

The England match. Apparently before going onto the field, he was bragging that he would get fellow Man United player Wayne Rooney sent off, and then he pointed out a Rooney foul to the ref and got him yellow carded (which later got upgraded to a red card when Rooney behaved badly). Or something like that, anyway? Or it could just be the fact that he's a really dirty player, but I think the England match had something to do with it. (All of this comes courtesy of my football obsessed friends and family who babble at me for hours).

I figured as much. Yeah, that whole thing with Rooney was just weird.
