Okay, I want a new computer. Faster, bigger, better blablabla. Of course, this is an investment so I kinda want something that won't have me going "oh crap" in a year time realising it's already outdated. I've had this computer with a few updates here and there for a while now.

So errr anyone can give me advice on what to look out for? This is the one that I've been eyeing, but it's kinda vagueish so I don't know.

Also, I am cranky and whiny. I'm probably PMSing or something because I've got a headache too. I need to do stuff and I want to do stuff, but it irritates me five minutes into actually doing it. Just... blah.

Looks pretty decent. I wouldn't buy anything less than a 3Ghz machine, and this is 3.2. I would get at least 1Gb of RAM, and this has 1Gb. The GEForce 6600 3D card is pretty well liked as a mid-range card with some room for expansion. And you have a DVD and DVD-RW drive, so you can burn your own CDs and DVDs.

It won't be the fastest machine on the block, but it will last you a good few years I'd imagine. You'll also be able to play any decent games requiring 3D cards, which is good.

Oooooo, cool! Thanks for the info. And yeah, I'm hoping updating this will allow me to play KotOR on this machine as it's not working right now.

Well the fact that you'll be running XP as an operating system instead of ME will also likely make a difference there. But I'd definitely expect you to be able to run KotOR on it.

Oh, I'm already running XP but it's not the fastest. My cousin jigged my computer up a bit because otherwise it would take ages to load.
