And damn, the idea of Kara in Sharon Stone's outfit is melting my brain. Hotdamn. Not to mention the dress that Aeryn is wearing.

When you're watching SG1, do you ever get the feeling that the actor is holding back? Like when Ben Browder has a scene where Claudia Black is even marginally in the frame I swear I get the sense of him going, "Don't have chemistry with her. Don't have chemistry with her. The scripts say these characters are not remotely interested in each other as written. DO NOT have chemistry with her." I swear it's something he's consciously doing! Which makes those scenes so awkward, almost painful to watch. =(

That restraint, that 'Look at me! Look at how much chemistry I DON'T have with Claudia/Vala." It shows up on film. Instead of looking like disinterest it translates as passion restrained with vicious and titan-like grip. I half expect the Cameron Mitchell character to just snap one day and grab Vala and kiss her. The slam you against a wall kind of kiss. (And in my fevered brain I usually see her being pulled away from a cute!exasperating!romantic argument with Daniel because all else has fallen away for Mitchell.) Two words: Pressure. Cooker.

I mean I love Vala/Daniel. Its so funny that it becomes romantic/cute. But man... there's a reason Farscape worked so frelling well. And I don't think it was D'argo and his tongue.

Whoa. Seems I've given this quite a bit of thought. Hee. Sorry to babble on your LJ. But I'm glad to see that somebody else sees their chemistry. =)

Dude, I compeletely agree. You see them trying to not have chemistry, but it's just *so* there. Maybe it's just a projection of John and Aeryn in my mind, but they just have to stand close and it feels so wrong when she goes for Daniel. I can't help it, I'm still not a Daniel fan and him and sex just don't work for me.

And omg, now I want someone to write that fic. Dude, write it. *flails around*

Based on that one screencap that woodface linked to above, I'd have to agree on the pressure cooker thing ;-)

I haven't seen any of season 9 yet, but that one screencap says a whole damn lot *g*

And yeah, Farscape worked on a lot of levels, and while D'Argo's tongue was very entertaining, it was definitely not the main reason ;-)
