BSG: Pegasus

woodfaceHOLY FRAK! That's just... OMG. Dude. I thought I couldn't hate anyone more than Elle Tigh and Zarek, but I hate Pegasus' collective ass right now. And I love Adama. utterly love him that he is getting back his men and not taking any shit and how whipped does Roslin have him? Yaaay!
- I love that Roslin is all "OMG, another woman in command and I want to keep playing with Dad because I don't frakking trust her ass". Yaaay!
- It's funny to watch Adama squirm and consider how Cain has done exactly what he wanted to do. Instead he has taken a step back and listened to Roslin. He put survival first and has pretty much stepped away from the whole "let's destroy them all" thing. It seems at first that he feels ashamed of it, that he wishes he could say he had done the same as Cain. I think however, that he starts to realise that his decisions were the right ones to take. Take Roslin's influence on him has been good to both him and the crew and that he finally steps up for that as well.
- Shit, that went down hill real fast. First everyone is happy to see each other and then it turns out that they stumbled on the most frakked up Battlestar in the fleet.
- The Cylons was brutal. Just brutal. The whole rape thing and torture. Ouch, really ouch. I was squirming in my seat and I'm not sure if I love that they are being to in your face about it or if I hate it. It just made me really uncomfortable, which probably was the whole point. It also kept me wanting for Adama to say "enough" and dude, so glad that he did.
- This all makes me wonder about their military, though. Torture is really something they're familiar with and well... they're a bit too good at it. They've compeletely dehumanized the Cylons.
- Yay on Tyrol and Helo defending Boomer together. They're going to best buddies and then they can both play daddy to the baby.
- Ha, Kara and Lee get transfered. She's right of course, I think this is where you start to realise how much Galactica never was the top of the fleet. And I just love that Kara is back to her rebelious self and getting smacked down for it now that she's out from under Adama's wing. This so fits with the image I had of her having nowhere real to go to in the fleet after she left teh Academy and Adama taking her on. Lee's behaviour was less predictable. When we see him the first time in the mini, we know he's a bit anal. I could easily see him as a stuck up pilot who plays by the rules (but thinks too much about it too). And then he gets thrown into this situation and after being CAG for a so long, he just can't take being ordered around and he lets Kara rub off on him and goes all rebelious too. Yaaay!
- Hey look, I like Baltar again. Because omg, so much sympathy for Six right now. Geez. Did I mention brutal.
And here's to hoping that Roslin busts their collective asses and gets Adama back in charge. They really don't need to go shooting each other.

Date: 2005-09-27 04:41 pm (UTC)I think that's because they -- or at least the "they" we saw on screen -- never viewed the Cylons to be humans in the first place. It's not hard to dehumanize something you've never believed was human to begin with.
