*flaps* OMG, can't wait. I guess it would be too much to ask for it to arrive on friday. Probably will be here on monday as we don't have saturday mail (WOE).

don't know about there - but here the earliest release date is saturday - so can't get it before that - mine should be in the mail sometime next week as I went with free shipping and the slighlty later arrival date

If you live outside of the UK, the freeshipping thing is not an option. I know that amazon is trying to dispatch the books inside the UK the day before the release so people will get it on saturday itself. It could well be they won't dispatch until tomorrow, but that they're already working on all the order. I'm guessing we'll get it on monday or tuesday, but it would be so nice to have it this weekend already. *impatient*

OMG. *dies* Want my book NOW. I ordered from Amazon this time as I had to drive to three bookstores last time with a raging cold in order to get my HP on the release date. And now I might not get mine on the release date because the Amazon delivery estimate is July 19th. *dies again in fannish suspense*

Heh, well the delivery date on the website says July 18th, which is about right. Sometimes they're wrong, though, I tend to get it two or three days after they dispatch.

Hee, I think they're going to be working around the clock at Amazon to deliver all the Harry Potters.

After the madness that ensued with not reserving a copy of OotP when it was released (I had to wait TWO bloody weeks to find a copy!), I marched myself to the closest Barnes & Nobles and signed the paper for them to save me a copy. I'm not sure if they're doing a midnight thing. If not, I'll get my copy Saturday morning! Whee!
