I'm not sure what to say. Paul Hester (former drummer of Crowded House) killed himself last night.

Crowded House will always be a constant in my life.

I never really know what to think or feel when you hear about artists like this taking their own lives. It's sad and yet, I kinda want to be angry at them too. *sighs*

I came home this evening to find the news on my friendslist, and I just sat there stunned.

I mean, you never expect this kind of thing, but especially all I'd ever heard/known about Paul it just seems so tragic and inexplicable.

I just saw the news on the BBC website... I'm devastated - he was the life of Crowded House, my favourite member... I wonder what happened... such sadness

Everyone seems to be completely taken by surprise about it. Ugh, apparently he hanged himself. =o(

you're possibly aware how I feel about people who take their own lives...

but this is sad... according to the Sydney Morning Herald, he'd been depressed for some time. It's thought he just simply thought that he didn't want to bring anyone else down with him. I can understand that.

But the saddest part to me is that he apparently did it late Friday night and he wasn't discovered until Saturday afternoon... it's the thought of his body being there all night :(
