Silly Theory

At the end of the ep, Six shows Baltar a baby that is supposed to be the first step to a new race between Cylons and Humans. She's being very maternal over it, but is it really hers? I have three theories over the baby:

1. Robot!Six did in fact survive the blast and got pregnant with Baltar's child. Which would mean that the Six running around on Caprica is the one who slept with Baltar and is still in contact with Baltar (which seems unlikely due to Leoben being out of range with the others).
2. The child was not Baltar's but in fact just Boomer and Helo's.
3. Baltar is a Cylon and got Starbuck pregnant. I know this is not very likely but just simply the thought made me freak out big time. That said, I will kill Ron Moore personally if he even dares to consider this.

Baltar *can't* be a cylon. That just doesn't make sense. *wails*

*pats* The theory is completely crazy and makes no sense, so ignore it. I don't think anyone new will turn out to be a Cylon because that would just be lame.

But is one of the Adama's a cylon? And Roslin has cylon tendencies. And something is special about Helo...*wonders*

Nah. It's too easy to turn everyone into a Cylon. I will mock them and be very disappointed if they do that.

Nah, Adama isn't dead quite yet. He can survive. Besides, Cylons would die too.

But I still think Baltar is a cylon he just doesnt know it, no way he could survive that blast on Caprica.

He so isn't. Baltar really is the only one I can see being a Cylon that we don't know yet.

"we" have 8 unknown cylons left, I am sure some of them we have already seen in season 1 ,the show is one big puzzle

That 12 model theory just confuses me as it's not clear. I really thought it meant that there were 12 back ups from Six. Apparently not. Hmmz. I wish it was that as it's less errrrr hmmmmmm bad television? I keep fearing they'll go Matrix on our ass and have so many copies that I will just roll my eyes and mock them.

I've always thought that the child being discussed was that of Boomer and Helo. I mean, why else make such a big deal about Starbuck not shooting Boomer because she was pregnant? My guess is that Six wants Balthar to look after this child when it is brought back to Galactica.

As for who is a Cylon, there are two main characters that I think could very well be - Ellen Tigh, and Billy (Laura Roslin's assistant). Don't think anyone else is, but then you never know.

Actually Gaeta or Dualla seems to be a better guess as one of the bridge personnel apparently gave the gun to Boomer. Ellen's too obvious me thinks and Billy is too cute! *refuses*

Really? I figured she'd still have been wearing it from her combat mission - it looked like she went straight to the Bridge from the Flight Deck, and as they all carry sidearms on missions ....

That's what I thought but people were saying that Gaeta gave it to her according to screencaps. I can't check the scene as my files won't work.

Looking at my screencaps of the episode, Gaeta certainly shakes her hand before Adama gets back to the bridge. I can't tell whether he gives her anything. There are a bunch of Marines, plus Apollo, looking right at her and Gaeta though when they shake hands, so you'd think someone would notice.

While Boomer is standing and waiting, it looks as though she may have a holstered sidearm, but once again hard to tell. She has her hands behind her back, and could be holding something - very hard to tell.

I'll try and remember to look at the episode tonight.

When Gaeta approaches Boomer, he shakes her hand and says well done - like one officer congratulating another. If he does pass her something, it's very hard to see.

When Boomer pulls the gun, it's just suddenly in her hand. It's impossible to see where she gets it from. Indications are that she had the gun ready.

However, I don't think she could have been hiding it. Firstly, the other Lt that flew with her was right next to her, and would have noticed. Also, the bridge is filled with Marines who are watching for trouble. If she hadn't been supposed to be carrying a weapon, they'd have stopped her before that.

I guess we'll just have to see how it plays out in season 2.
