Wow, I adored this episode. It did so much good for Apollo and Starbuck. Heh, finally boywonder gets to get out of Starbuck's shadow. Loved the scene with his father.

I also adore the Adama/Starbuck scenes. I love the relationship they have going on. That scene in the gym with her knee was awesome. Poor Kara, forced to stand by and watch. But dude, if she comes up with a plan, she comes up with a plan. I really thought they were toast right there (and don't you just love how dark they let this show get?). But then everything turns around and you get a very Star Wars like theme and everyone is celebrating. (Dude, Apollo with a cigar on flight deck, Julie I should have kept that piece in my fic! *huffs*)

Hee hee, Roslin/Starbuck was cute too. I get the impression Roslin and Adama should just adopt Kara. Frack, that girl is hot. Really really really loved the gym scene. So very good.

Heh and I like Carpica!Boomer better than Galactica!Boomer. Poor Helo, though. Also, I kinda like Cally/Apollo now. Heh. They'd be so cute. I really do like Cally. The girl has guts and is shy in other ways. So me in favour.

In short; lovely episode. Growing for Apollo and Starbuck. A lot of hope at the end of it. Weird because at one point I was thinking "Shit, this show is as dark as Space: Above and Beyond" (which is saying something) and then it has this ending full of hope and happiness.

*pats pretty new fandom*

I liked this episode, even though someone else on my flist didn't. I thought that it was very character building for Apollo particularly - and also for Starbuck as she has to learn that she can't always be involved.

I know! I have for a while!

I kinda like Cally/Apollo now

Isn't she enlisted?

A lot of hope at the end of it

Funny that, isn't it?

she's an engineer yeah. So?

Wouldn't that be the same thing as the Sharon/Tyrol relationship that Adama put a stop to?

I don't think it's the chain of command that's an issue. Is that one is an officer, and one is enlisted. That was the problem with Sharon/Tyrol.

I thought it was because he was enlisted and she was an officer. [shrug] I guess I'll just have to go back and look sometime, won't I? ;)

Yeah, there is a question of how far people will go with enforcing the rule. I think Adama was basically ignoring the rule when Galactica was about to be decommissioned. Now that they're at war, he's tightening up on all the rules.

And you'll notice that he did throw that engineer in the brig for lying, even though Adama probably knew the truth. I can't imagine he'd have done that before the war.
