Brussels Galactica

woodfaceAh, finally back. I had so much to say, and so much Starbuck to ramble about!
First things first. I went to Brussels with Kurt yesterday and he now knows all about my crush on Starbuck. My quest for pants and shoes kinda got put aside in favour of finding the Battlestar Galactica miniseries. Not that I found it. I had a long discussion with the guy at the media market before we agreed that we were both talking about the same thing, only for him to tell me that they had it for a short time but just in French and even these copies were sold out.
Luckily I managed to soothe my Starbuck hunger at the Waterstone. They had Starburst with Starbuck on the cover! There were some HOT pictures inside so I bought it. I warned Kurt that it was expensive but it didn't seem to ring through to him until the guy at the register repeated the prize. At which point I declared (rather loudly) that "Starbuck is worth it". Kurt's response of course was; "But I'm prettier." The guy at the register looked up, eyed Kurt and went; "No no no no no no!" *pats Kurt who was insulted for the rest of the day* But damn, Starbuck IS hot.
I watched these this weekend. Seven is pretty much in the same line as 6. Too little Starbuck and too much Gaius which resulted in the story dragging at some points. I like the Helo/Boomer storyline though. Boomer on Earth is at the moment more popular with me than Boomer on the BSG. Best part of episode 7 had to be the scene where Starbuck goes into the Cylon. I love the "Why a horse? It could be a goat." scene. Just fracking hilarious!
Eight is just a wonderful episode. It's so dark. They're really breaking Starbuck's character. Every episode the rings around her eyes seem to get darker. I loved her interaction with the Cylon (I'm gonna call him Ray because I don't remember his name). They were just great together. And seeing Starbuck this cruel? Woah! She, btw, has the same smirk as Jack O'Neill. That same tilt of the lips slightly to the left. It suits her well. So pretty but so damn brutal in this episode. The whole religion thing is kinda unsettling. I love how in the end she somewhat related to the Cylon. Great episode!

I think it has a lot to do with her being grounded. When you're not allowed to fly it absolutely kills a pilot because you love it so. damn. much.
