*eyes flist* Suddenly everyone seems to be doing glee posts. This is getting confusing as now I have to actually look who the glee is from. Lemmings! All of you!

I actually have nothing to say. Not really. Hmmmm, I'm not planning making on glee posts. I might be developing an interest in Luke/Grace but I'm not sure if wanting smut works with that pairing as they're well... teenagers. Then again I have no problem with mini!OTP smut. Actually, maybe I do cause I keep imagining them as their older selves. Besides that I'm sorta liking Trip/T'Pol even if I think she should stop pouting (so I might not like the actress which probably proves that I'm a ship whore) and the rest of the characters are boring. And come to think of it, I kinda want to thwap the writers for screwing up the ST universe. What's with making the Vulcans bad? *mutters* That's so not logical. So stop it!

I want Gilmore Girls. I can not express how much I want to see GG. Give it to me, bitches! ARGH! Besides that I would like to announce that there is way too little Han/Leia smut out there. Come to think of it, there is way too little good written Han/Leia fic. With the exception of one fic that is just really really really good although the smut in it leaves a lot to be desired.

So yeah, I have absolutely nothing to say. I think I'm sorta floating between doing nothing and waiting for my trip to the US. Kinda like everything is on hold but I don't mind so much. It's called taking a breather even if I think that my brain is slowly dying off from inaction. I need to present it with challenges. Writing would be challenge but the muse is well floating somewhere out there too.

Anyone have any advice on how to best tackle world building? Hmmmm, if I give Pergaleos a hammer he might be too much of an Odin rip off but he is the Forger of Life so it kinda seems logical.

I kind of think the Vulcans-not-liking-or-trusting-humans thing sort of works for the Enterprise time period, but I've probably just been suckered in by the franchise. *sigh* I really am a lemming ;)

Ugh, dunno, it really makes no sense to me. Liking comes down to an emotion. Trust in a way too. *shrugs* It just does not coincide with my view on Vulcans.

But they have always expressed irritation and annoyance... and I think they kind of are that way with humans. Like exasperated parents, a bit.

I can see where you're coming from... but I think it makes sense that these rough-and-ready humans would unnerve the Vulcans.

Unnerve, sure. But that whole them being bad guys and downright lying etc. No, can't see them as that. Tuvok said that Vulcan parents tell the truth to their children, they do not mellow things down and are brutally honest. The image that ENT gives of the Vulcans as truth withholding and downright lying does not sit with me. It's not in the Vulcan nature, me thinks.

Oh. I totally agree. I don't remember it quite that way, but that's because there are big holes in my memory at the moment!! :) Yes, that's very weird and not in the Vulcan nature at all.

I'm in S1. A few weeks ago there was an episode of them going to a Vulcan monastry and finding it hijacked by some race. The race accused the Vulcans of spying on them and the Vulcans denied having any technology on the planet in the end they did find a spying facility under the surface. It's just one example but it painted them as the bad guys and really, that does not go with how Vulcans are in other seasons.

Oh. Yeah. Remember that episode, because it comes back again and again and... yeah, because it IS a really big deal that the Vulcans are so paranoid back then.

I remember liking that episode. I need to watch season 1 again. Perhaps while doing drugs, but I do need to watch it again ;)

And Luke/Grace are cute. Though the porn...not so much. Yet, anyway. Maybe later on in the ship. It's amusing how I didn't really love either of those characters...until they were together. Much more tolerable that way.

Cause they're not airing it anywhere. Channel stopped after S3 (er I think) and now it's not on.

That is horribly sad, as this season is probably the best season since like, season 1. And this coming from a girl who loves all Gilmore Girls. But seriously. This season rocks.

And yes, Luke is Jack, so that makes things amusing. Though it cracks me up that he's a science geek. Of course, the fact that that cracks me up highlights my own innate geekiness...

There was a pretty good site out there at one time, cant remember what it was called, but it is no longer there anyway...there was lots of stuff. And now there is none.

Someone is posting world building writing prompts over at the NaNo website. I think it's in the Science Fiction forum. There are also some good websites my Hubby has found, but you'd have to ask for those links, and I'd have to email them to you because I'm not sure which ones are the good ones.

Oh, and before I forget, I talked to a friend of mine in Chicago today, and she said that I could stay with her if we go to Chicago to see you during your trip. I'll chat with you about that later, too, but I wanted to let you know before it slipped my mind.

And yaaaaay! We should be in Chicago after Christmas. Apparently there might be a party or something for New Year's but I need to talk to Hya again. See, she told me all this but being on the telephone gets me overexcited and I tend to forget things.
