Today I went to request my pasport (it should be electronic to go with my electronic tickets, yo). Went to the library to get some books about Chicago and Alabama. I want to see the Art Institute of Chicago and the Field Museum btw. *adds to list*

Bush is off to splendid start as he asked God to bless Arafat's soul. Sadly enough, Arafat is still alive. Granted, things can not be good if the only comment the hospital gave earlier was that he is not dead. So yeah, that gives the feeling that he is in a critical condition. Bush has proven his intelligence once more. Either way, I think Arafat's death would only make things worse. Right now he seems to be trying to temper the violence.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] mvr3000 just pointed out that it was a reporter to tricked Bush into the mistake.

I'm not a big fan of Bush, but was listening to that press conference this morning. (What can I say? I'm an NPR junkie.) It was actually a reporter who misinformed Bush by saying something like "did you know that Arafat just passed away? what's your reaction?" during the question and answer part of the conference.

Ah ha! *shakes head at reporter* Think he was trying to make Bush look stupid? *g*

Like Bush needs help. ;)

I still think he should have known better though. These are not exactly light matters but we'll let it slip for once =oP

Okay, next undead world leader and Bush gets it!

You'll like the Field Museum very much. My hubby is from Chicago and I have fallen in love with that city. His fam actually lives in the suburbs, so every time we fly up there, I beg to be taken "downtown." If you want any inside info, lemme know.
