Wow. That was an amazing episode. Some great character development. Tom has at his darkest hour. Geez, some very harsh scenes in here. Tom's actions and his behaviour. And then we get a new character named Adam Carter who totally kicks ass, seems to work and think like Tom does and goes through a very hard scene at the end. Completely love Adam, wish he wasn't married.

Poor Tom and Christine though, they really did love each other. You can understand why she betrayed him, but she had to have known that it would destroy them. And then she says it's destroying him. She's probably right. He has had to go through some really tough things now.

Loved the scene where Tom turns up at Zoe's house and her being pissed at him. So cute. Yes, I'm a bit of a Tom/Zoe shipper. Oy. Although now I have a new OT3: Tom/Zoe/Adam.

ETA: Proof that a Zoe sandwich would work. (The three in the middle, I might need an icon.

Btw, a dirty and smelly Tom does have his appeal.

There was a lot of character development for Tom in the episode, also this Adam guy. Not sure what I think about him yet. He seems to think like Tom, but is also very different to Tom. Tom always wants a plan, Adam said to Danny "just let it wrinkle its way out". Far more easy going.

The other reason I'm not sure I like him is, and I say this not being spoiled for S3 in any way, is that Tom describes him as "basically doing the same job as me", and you know that's not going to last. I have this sinking feeling that Tom's not going to be around much longer.

I agree about Tom and Christine. Obviously what happened totally destroyed her as a spook, which is why she said she's leaving or retiring from the CIA. It is sad though, especially Tom's seemingly forced "I'm okay" act.

I'm definitely a Tom/Zoe shipper (did you know that Matthew McFayden and Keeley Hawes were dating in real life?), and I thought that scene was great. She's somewhere between hitting him and hugging him. Interesting how much more reserved she was when nobody else was around. I definitely think I'll make some icons from that scene. :)
