Besides the subject matter, which I'm sure other reviewers have already covered, may I just say that this writer obviously DOES know what it's like to keep really odd sleeping hours and/or to sleep for very long periods of time at once? Because the description of how Sam felt after waking up after 35 hours of sleep (and her staying up 'til 5 am later in the story) was so precisely detailed and real. I've felt exactly like that before--not from saving the world, but still. :) And I liked the part about how Daniel was her friend by default...that, too, seems real. (Plus the urge for Daniel to just hug her and be comforting? Oh, yeah, even if I *didn't* have a crush on him.) elly427 should be proud. :)
How did I miss this incredible piece? I think I'm up on things and then wham. This is wonderful (Elly, are you listening?). Thanks so much for reccing it!
