woodface | Things I forgot to mention last night

1. I saw the trailer of Harry Potter in the cinema. Duuuuuuude! It's looking awesome. You can see the whole atmosphere of the film getting darker, just like the books. I'm really looking forward to this film.

2. When I came back from the restrooms I came across two guys. Well, I pretty much just ignored them and walked on but not before noticing on of the guys stopping in his tracks and staring at me. As I passed I heard him say "wow, you'll really have your hands full with that one". At which point I felt like turning around and bitchslapping him. Now I keep wondering if he meant it on a physical or other level. If the latter, he's probably right. Physical? I so should have bitchslapped him.

I know...HP looks awesome, but yes...the darkness is becoming more prominent. My 10 y/o read and article in ET..and interview with some of the actors. Seems the new director made the kids right an essay about their characters. Daniel easily identified all the anger that is boiling to the surface and threatening to overwhelm HP.

Prisoner of Azkaban is my daughter's favorite. Goblet was a little harder for her (although I think she is up to 5 read throughs, she is really starting to feel the darkness.

Can't wait until June!!!

I found the PoA and GoF very scary for kids, to be honest. Those dementors must be the scariest creatures ever to be invented.

It didn't scare her. Just the overall atmosphere and the anger and darkness--she didn't like the feeling it left with her.
She commented when see saw the trailers...that their concept of the dementors wasn't at all what she pictured...not scary enough! LOL!

I don't think you can see enough in the trailers to really judge. I'm gonna wait and see, esp as you have to consider the atmosphere surrounding it all.
