Just was curious so I had a look at what my top 10 of most read stories is at the moment (but then my statistics are all messed up because dk3.com resets every month which is damn annoying but I'm too lazy to go look for another counter).

1. Contrast You hussies
2. Sanctified I shall repeat; you hussies
3. Stealing Answers
4. Ordinary Birthday Awww, so glad that series is popular =o)
5. Honey It's a bit curious that the third fic in the series is highest
6. Reprieve *beams*
7. Something old, something new Less popular than it's prequel apparently
8. Ask me Ooo, this was the first in the series
9. Here and Now The second
10. Point Blank Dude, I'm so proud of this fic

So summarised the NC17 stuff is the most popular, followed by the series with [livejournal.com profile] splash_the_cat, my own future series and Reprieve. Point Blank kinda tags along.

Least read (top 3):

1. Into the sunset Well it's a drabble and not SJ
2. Flyboys Part 6 Dude, I don't blame you
3. If wishes were dreams Again, don't blame you
tied with Day Out Okay, that was rather silly

Conclusion: Drabbles aren't popular.

I'm not a huge drabble fan, to be honest. They're just not long enough!

Which is mildly depressing because I don't have the ability to write anything longer, but I spend two or three weeks on them. And more depressing because I posted two drabbles on Sunday, linked them to a fic group and a drabble group, and I have received zero comments.

Thanks so much for being a listening ear as I got all hormonal there. I have gotten a good ammount of response to the pieces in the yahoo groups, but I was still confused why my LJ friends hadn't said anything. I guess I always thought that clicking the comment button was pretty easy. But I really shouldn't complain, because I've gotten some thoughtful responses from the yahoo groups.

Yeah. Typically, I get half a dozen responses here, and one or two from the lists. *shrugs*

Well, of course FB is a privilige, but it sure makes life happier. I guess for me right now the issue is what am I going to spend my time doing? And can I justify to myself spending the time and effort to write, edit, and post fan fiction if no one is reading what I'm writing? Maybe I need to start linking stuff to a site so I can read hit numbers like you do. Maybe it would be enough to know that someone read them.

I can't stop writing, but its the hours spent editing and stuff like that ... I just don't know. I keep on thinking that my next big story will be the one that gets noticed, but it hasn't happened yet. I guess I'll just try to have fun.
