Eek, Misty was hunting one like that once. A really big fat one. It came running towards the chair I was watching telly in and hid beneath it. I completely freaked. Quickle went to my bedroom and left a note for my mom to kill it in the morning; Of course the spider was long gone by then.
Well I must admit I killed a spider yesterday. I was getting out of my car when I noticed a spider descending from the garage door. On closer inspection I discovered it was a redback spider (http://www.austmus.gov.au/factsheets/redback.htm). I decided squishing it all over the garage floor was an appropriate course of action. *g*
Yes it was a female one - hence the reason for the killage.
It was in an area we normally walk around bare foot in, both during the day and at night. I wouldn't want to accidenally tread on one bare footed so I made my call.

And actually, I love spiders; well, as long as they don't touch me. You stay over there and I'll stay here and we'll get along just fine.

And anyway, it's just a spider. They kill flies and other pesty insects. Great things to have around the house.
