Harassing blackbirds
Jun. 20th, 2005 12:30 pmUndear person who keeps calling on my mobile at least once a week,
Stop. Calling. Me. I don't know you. I don't want to know you. You hang up if I do pick up, so you must know you've got the wrong number. Your sms with the letters "t ki" in was utterly uninformative and didn't add anything to my life.
You've had your fun, now stop frakking calling me before it starts bordering on harassment.
Sincerely not yours,
Jara
In other words, the blackbird plague is starting to get tiresome. Misty has finally given up on playing nice and this morning instead of just miaowing when the mother bird comes sit a meter from her, she finally charged at it. Of course, this caused father bird to immediatly attack Misty. When she ran back inside, the blackbirds nearly followed her in too.
One of the little birds is now big enough and has left the nest. The other one is still very small and fell out of his nest at least 5 times yesterday. We put a chair under the nest and now its fall is nicely cushioned. For some reason the parents don't have a problem with us picking up their young and putting it back in the nest. And yes, in case you were wondering, Misty caught the young the first time it fell out and we had to get it out of her mouth.
