Of Phonecalls and Cats

I talked to hyare on the phone! Hee! And then she talked to my mom. *eyes mom* She's been tight lipped about it all. I think I was a little less nervous while talking than I was last time (once we passed the "I want to say... I don't know" stage which gave me a moment to do some (lame) mocking, yaay!). *bounces* I'm gonna meet her. So excited (and nervous)!

When I get downstairs after the call I find my mom arguing with a kitten. (Well not a small kitten but not a full grown cat either.) The cat is wearing some sort of collar with a small bell on it but seems to be pretty sure that she lives in our house. I manage to catch it and immediatly she starts purring and squirming at the same time. I put her outside and she seems a bit stunned but that's that. Until two minutes later, I hear a cat miaowing in the hall again. Yups, kitten is back. I pick her up again, ask her where she's from but of course no reply. This time I wait for my mom to close off the basement before I throw her out. Wasn't easy as the cat was faster turning back than I was in closing the door.

A bit later, the kitten is standing outside the sliding door, putting up a "I'm pathetic" show. Misty is sitting right beside her and they're somewhat arguing but not fighting. I catch the kitten again to check but she has no adress on the collar (nope, she insists she lives with us). So I put her outside again and she keeps miaowing at the front door. She's gone now, finally, but I wonder if she's lost. Poor kitty.

Kitten

Halloween seems to be good for something. My mom opened the door for a bunch of kids (under loud protests from me of course). She gave the kids some candy and then went "Wouldn't you rather have a kitty?" Of course all the kids went crazy. One boy was immediatly infatuated and his mother kept protesting loudly. But then the other accompanying mother took the kitty from the boy and said she was going to try and take the kitty in.

So yaaaaaay!
