Gah! How stupid can you get? The cat got restless during the night so Caroline let it outside so of course the cat ran off. What did they expect? My parents did the exact same thing with Misty. I was so furious then. It was a complete fluke that Misty came back here. *growls*

And my dad didn't supposedly do anything to my puter so I guess it's a complete fluke that the thing starts up with errors from a bad shut down. Yeah right.

Elections

It's scary, Vlaams Blok (extreme right) is gaining up to 30-35% in some districts. Mostly they seem to be hovering around the 20-25% though. They most likely will end up being the second largest party and that is frightening. I try to wrap my mind around the stupidity of the people who vote for them but I can't. Apparently some professor said that theoretically VB could gain 50% of the votes and that it's growth has not yet reached its maximum. I wonder how long it will last before they finally lift the cordon sanitaire that remaince now. Fact is that right now it seems VB and CD&V (catholic party) could go together while CD&V needs to make a coalition with SP.A (socialists) and Green! to get there now. I very much doubt that the liberals will remain although I guess I shouldn't dismiss it right now.

So if VB ever gets elected, will we have to move to Walloon? Geez, this is insane. It reminds me of the decade before 1940. The intolerance is reaching a new height and I wonder where it will lead. I wonder how any woman can vote for a party that wants you banned to the kitchen and thinks people should get extra votes if you have children. Get real!

Good news

For anyone who read about the kitty; it has returned. It was staying in an empty field close to their house. My sis called for it and it right away came home. Apparently Caroline has been crying over it the whole day so she'll be pleased to know the cat is back.
