It feels like a long time ago that I was just behind the computer. Not that Saturday is all that far away, so I'll blame it on my mind.

Sunday there was a family barbecue. The sister in the US is in Europe for a few weeks. I say Europe as she just took a plane to Italy. But yes, it'd been a while since we were all together so there was family time. Then yesterday I had lunch with said sister in Brussels (mmmm pancakes) and in the evening I went to The Dark Knight with the other sister.

While I'm on the topic, this Batman movie is heaps better than the previous one. But then I am the only person alive who didn't like the previous one much. Anyway, it was good. Despite the moment half way through where you're all "It's done now? Can we leave?" and then the movie picks up again.

So yes, I've been busy. Which works just fine with the whole theme at work where I'm busy busy busy too. Whether this will prove to be a good or a bad thing, we shall so. The headache I'm having right now is definitely bad, however.

Oh. Random question to the comic people as somehow this came up one the drive back from the cinema: Does Batman have a serious love interest? (I'm talking Superman and Lois Lane serious.) I could wiki, but I'm lazy.

Comics Batman's only two serious Love Interests are 1. Selina Kyle (Catwoman) but that's... complex. They're both fucked up dumbasses (her a bit less than him) and too broken to really make a go of it. That being said, they randomly screw like rabbits and DO actually care for each other. 2. Thalia, Ra's Al-Gul's daughter likes to THINK she's The Bat's girl... and she kind of is. There's history and tension, but again. Too fucked up for words.

So. Short answer: No.
Complex answer: Catwoman, but it won't ever happen long term.
A.j.'s answer: NO because Batman/Bruce is incapable of a healthy, real relationship with ANYONE let alone a romantic one.

Hehehehe! It was too long, there were too many bad guys and too convoluted.

And to be honest, I had some issues with the new one too. Although I agree that it was better than the first one. But you can't really voice that without being smacked around. :D

It got to the point where I was just all "What time is it? Why am I still in this movie?" And if I think that? It destroys the movie for me.

I like to get lost and not even realize where I am, you know? And I didn't with that one.

Now, Hancock? Which I saw like a week after? Totally gave me that feeling and I looooooved it.

Intermission? EWW. Smack them around.

I don't know about banning food. I'm a fat chick, I do like my food. But I wouldn't be opposed to lynching those who talk after the movie.

Or! People that look at their text messages 400 times so that my eyes are drawn to the light of their cellphone. Annnnnnnnnnoyance!

Ah, yeah and ew.

HP5 was RUINED because some stupid chick kept flipping her phone up and reading her texts. I about smacked her in back of her head.
