The first time I heard of Avatar was years ago when they put a promotional game on neopets for it. The concept looked interesting and I kept wishing I could see it. So when I discovered a certain video site... I was hooked instantly and marathoned through the first season.

This entire show is made of win and while I'm sad to see the story come to an end, I'm glad to know that it has always stayed awesome. So on to the review.

There was so much love for these final episodes. Everyone was awesome and had their moment to shine. The White Lotus (yay old people group!), Sokka, Iron!Toph (take that Ironman), Sokka, Suki, Katara, Zuko and Aang.

I do have some nitpicks however of things that I didn't like so much:
1) The using fire to fly is DUMB! Stop it!
2) Aang's fight was... too huge. It was over the top. I think they wanted to make it as big as possible and try to get it to be as awesome as possible but it was just too much. I do love that they had Aang find a way to do this without killing Ozai.
3)Mai/Zuko... Seriously, where did she come from? With The Boiling Rock I started liking this ship better, but I'm sad that this was pretty much how they worked it in.
4) Aang/Katara. He's THIRTEEN! Thirteen! Clearly they got the ships wrong. *coughs*
5) No Ursa. We never get to see Ursa. I wanted Ursa so much!

Other than this? This was PERFECT! It was everything I hoped and so much more. Iroh and the White Lotus taking back Ba Sing Se. I was a bit worried how they were going to do the Zuko firelord thing and leaning towards Iroh being the next Fire Lord, but the way he thanked for it was perfect and just so Iroh. I nearly cried when Zuko found his uncle again. So touching.

So yes, I do have some reservations about a few things but other than that? BEST SERIES EVER! I am going to miss this show so much. I will have to rewatch it over and over again.

*eyebrow* The space shuttle uses fire to fly.

I was also more than a bit skeeved by Aang/Katara. I know he ended up being all SuperTough!Avatar, but he's still a kid. Wrongness! (It was kind of a cop-out too, because they totally seemed to be heading Zuko/Katara until the last minute. But I guess they figured kids wouldn't like a broken-hearted Avatar. I think they underestimate kids.)

But aside from that, OH THE JOY! I loved it. Especially the White Lotus (YAY, IROH!) and Sokka, Toph, and Suki taking down the airships. Everything about that was awesome. The best moment of it, I think, was when Sokka went down, but still fought off the Fire!dudes with his boomerang and his sword, long enough for Suki to rescue him and Toph. YAY, Sokka! YAY, Suki!

Nagging never hurts. :-)

Seriously, I'll think on it and if it gels in my head, I'll go for it.

I'm actually still on the first season, but it's good to see that the finale turns out well.

I hope Azula got to be her kick-ass self and screw up several plans of the Aang gang though before the gang succeeds. I suppose she had to -eventually- lose... =(
