Wow, I think Fandom High ate my brain the last few days. Playing the Knights Who Say Ni was fun but utterly exhausting, but I feel a bit recharged after the anonymous love meme. Well, a bit because I'm sleepy right now. *yawns*
New Veronica Mars tonight, I can't wait to see what happens next. I'll have to however as I won't see until tomorrow. *sulks*
Yesterday I received an email to my more official adress which I use for job stuff etc. The email had one sentence and a link, basically someone was asking me to check out their website and give me their opinion. Now, I've always found this behaviour weird in fandom but this goes a bit beyond that. The website is on bestiaria which is what I made my thesis on. My thesis is available online through this website that is trying to host all papers made in Flanders. Anyway, suffice to say that the topic is pretty unique in its field and there's a very limited amount of websites dealing with the topic in dutch. So yeah, I can guess that it's pretty neat to have available as a resource (I know it's already been quoted on wiki). All this is very boggling, though. I mean, it makes me feel like I'm actually a historian.
Uh, getting back to the point. While that thesis is available, my email adress is not. So for this guy to have found it, he must have contacted the website and asked for it. Which is a bit of a big step to take only to then send off an email with one freaking sentence and no explanation whatsoever. Maybe the whole field is a fandom too. I wonder what the flamewars look like.

Kinda cool, to be hunted down for your thesis work, though.
