I'm trying to get Jen to watch Stargate so she can see the real Cameron and looking at the episode list, I'm in the mood to review S9. So watch me add 'mehs and yays' and small notes on the Cam-o-meter.

AVALON, PART 1

Yes, I'm making a distinction here because there is a huge difference in boredom level between part 1 and part 2. Basically, the first half kicks ass. I loved this episode and I'm glad we got a background story for Cameron straight off. This episode made me positive about the entire S9 (only to be let down a bit in part 2 and then completely shattered in Origin).

Camatistic: Yes! Lots! Fun! And Vala is there. Yaaay! In other words, you need to see this part to understand who Cameron is. Essential to Cameron arch.

Rating: 8/10

AVALON, PART 2

The beginning is still awesome. The whole resoltion of the cliffhanger rocks. Then the Daniel bit starts and I fall asleep. I guess this is where the first half of the season goes down the drain.

Camatistic: Yes. Enough to say that you need to see this to at least watch the resolution of part 1.

Rating: 6.5/10

ORIGIN

Summary: *snores* Essential for S9 story arch but sadly enough this episode is mostly boring. It's only Vala's presence and Cameron being bouncy in between and talking about his grandma that kept me from falling asleep completely.

Camatistic: Nice Cameron moments, but not enough to warrant watching the episode.

Rating: 3.5/10

THE TIES THAT BIND

Fun! Vala centered and that's way better than Daniel heavy eps. Plus, leather. Despite the fun of it all, I still find this ep missing something.

Camatistic: He's wearing leather! He's got his moments, but it's starting to become obvious that they don't want to center too heavily on him so he's more like background noise.

Rating: 6.5/10

THE POWERS THAT BE

I like this episode a lot. Again, Vala heavy but it's so awesome. Definitely worth watching.

Camatistic: Not nearly enough, but what is there rocks my world. I guess it's the opening scene that does it for me.

Rating: 8

BEACHHEAD

I don't know what to think of this. >It's an okay episode, but it could have been better. Important for the S9 storyarch and less boring than Origin, that's for sure. It just didn't leave that big an impression on me.

Camatistic: He's there. I'm hard pressed remembering anything important. Wait, possible the camshaft scene which is yes, awesome but not enough to watch the ep.

Rating: 6.5/10

EX DEUS MACHINA

I'm one of the few people who doesn't have much Ba'al love. This episode simply bored me and made me weep that they weren't using Cameron to his full potential.

Camatistic: Hardly.

Rating: 5

BABYLON

Yes! This made me happy and squeeful and just YES! This was the turning point for me in the season where I remained hopeful that maybe the next episodes wouldn't suck so much now that they were daring to let Cameron stand on his own. I love this ep so much even if it's predictable.

Camatistic: YES! FINALLY! WATCH!

Rating: 8.5

PROTOTYPE

Just... No. After Babylon this made me cry again.

Camatistic: Sometimes. Not enough to save the ep.

Rating: 4/10

THE FOURTH HORSEMAN, PART 1/PART 2

Now we're talking. Good action. Everyone gets attention. Important for main S9 storyarch. I like this.

Camatistic: Yes, but it's more of a team episode.

Rating: 7.5

COLLATERAL DAMAGE

Okay, so the plot is stolen from Voyager. That annoyed me, but I'll forgive them because it is a good episode. *points to next point as to why*

Camatistic: God yes. A must for the Cameron fans. We get backstory, we got romance, we get angst. It's all in there and BB is just awesome. It rocks!

Rating: 9/10

RIPPLE EFFECT

Hee! AUs! Yay! Another fun episode like only Stargate pulls off.

Camatistic: Yes, but again it's more of a team episode. I do however like what we got to see a whole lot as it showed a different possible side to Cameron that right out puts him miles away from ever being a 'second Jack O'Neill'.

Rating: 8/10

STRONGHOLD

I almost have to split this episode in two to be able to give my opinion. I don't like the Teal'c bits. I just couldn't bring myself to live with it and just wanted to go back to the Cameron part of the episode.

Camatistic: YES!!! Important for Cameron's background story and very insightful in who he is. How he is. I love the Cameron bits to pieces. Seriously adore it.

Rating: 7/10

ETHON

I like this episode more than I should. I guess I just like the whole dilemma and the decision making and Stargate daring to go down that other part where things aren't sunshine and rainbows.

Camatistic: Yes, but not enough to warrant watching. They should have listened to him omg. I'm hoping this is the point where Cameron will start to realise that he needs to lead more than just follow. I don't think he did.

OFF THE GRID

Leather! Beside that, it's a fun episode but not the best.

Camatistic: LEATHER! Big guns. Hotness. Beside that, the ep doesn't have much to stand on however.

Rating: 6

THE SCOURGE

This is the stuff. I think it's my favourite episode of the season. It just kicks ass and I love these kind of scenarios. Great team episode. Just overall strong.

Camatistic: Tree ferrets! Cameron rocks in this episode, but it's not an essential episode to anything. Still very much worth it.

Rating: 9.5 (I don't believe in perfection but I have been comparing my ratings to this one. So la.)

ARTHUR'S MANTLE

Hee! Fun again. Yes, I liked this. I laughed a lot in this episode. I was sad too however.

Camatistic: Yes. I love my dork.

Rating: 8

CRUSADE

Once more, important episode for the story arch and I really did love this episode. It's Vala centric, but we were just happy to have her back.

Camatistic: Towel omg! Beside that, not so much. I did like Vala and Cameron's interaction, though. It said a lot. Someone write me fic damnit.

Rating: 8.5

CAMELOT

More story arch and not boring me. Yay! I liked this, but now I want the next part omg!

Camatistic: Yis! Meditating and swordfighting with Molly. Lots of fun!

Rating: 8

SEASON 9

I think the story learned here is that you shouldn't count on Daniel to carry your stories as he's boring. *coughs* No seriously, the eps that stand out this season are Cameron centric, Vala centric or team episodes. Anything concentrating on Daniel or the Jaffa was yawn inducing. The first half of the season is tedious at moments, but the second definitely picks up. I don't know what idiot decided Cameron needed to be background in the first half, but I'm glad they've seen the light. Sadly enough, this isn't Stargate's best season ever. It will never be. It's just fun and pretty eye candy and so I might be Cameron obsessed.

Well, considering I got you hooked on VM, it's only fair that I check out SG1 :)

*adds this to memories in anticipation of upcoming 4 day weekend*

*waves* K here. If you decide you want to try some earlier Stargate (no Cameron, but still some really good eps in there), let me know and I can hook you up. There are some really good episodes...and some really dismal episodes.

Ah, you forgot to take into consideration that despite being a team episode, Ripple Effect features Cam-without-pants.

I love Cam so much. *happy sigh*
