woodfaceI've been meaning to update for days now, but I still haven't gotten round to it so I'll probably forget half of what I wanted to say. Yay.
Job interview went... Yeah, it went. I never know what to say or think of it. I'm sure I had to add here but I'm drawing a blank.
Oh! David Gray on Thursday rocked. So much love for the man, omg. He's just amazing. Of course, I had to scowl at the idiot who decided to ruin the first song by belowing along. Seriously, dude, did not pay to hear you. But yeah, it was good. The concert was amazing, the sound was great, David Gray kicked serious ass. I love this man, I love his music.
Stargate was alright. It kinda had some brainloops in there that I couldn't quite follow and it definitely had too little Cameron. What it had was cute, though, so yay. Well, not cute but it worked with my characterisation so I'm happy. This is how I see Cameron and yeah, good. They should have listened to him.
First off, hello did someone watch Space: Above and Beyond or what? It's a Kara episode and considering how much I was craving seeing her, I strangely could not connect. I'm getting seriously annoyed at the flashback things (not Anders, the whole timeline thing being all over the place). Dude, one episode like that is cool. But are you going to do it for the rest of the season? This would have worked just perfectly if they had used a normal straight forward timeline. Stop being special just to try to be special.
Also, stop messing up the characters. Yes, being a hero sucks. Yes, it weighs you down. Just... draw a line somewhere? Thank you. I love Kara so much, but this second half of the season has just made me not connect with the character anymore. I'm not following them and I can't keep to stay in their head. Kara being the next Tigh is over the top. Kat suddenly riding Kara's ass like that was too. It annoyed me more than anything else. The live incest did too, but it worked because it's Kara using Lee and so it was doable.
It wasn't all bad, though. I loved the last few scenes. I loved Kara saying the names. I love Kara talking to Helo. That scene just worked. Helo pointing out how much Kara has changed and grown. How much she moved on from being destructive to wanting something to build on. Just beautiful. Kara not needing to be cocky and telling Kat she earned it just worked. I liked this, I liked the growth they've shown her. I don't think they needed to keep her drunk for it the entire episode, though. Not that far or on that level.
That being said, Slarti wins all when he suggested last week's episode would have been way better if they let Lee do a voice over and go (parody) noir detective. Slarti is one of my heroes today.
On FH, Tex just took over town. Cameron got beaten up by vampires and dislocated his shoulder.
