woodfaceI went to the movies with my sister and her boyfriend last night, two in a row. Broken Flowers and Nightwatch. Broken Flowers is kinda okay but slow and too bad they forgot the ending.
I still don't know what to think of this movie. It's either really good or it sucks ass and I don't know at this point. The story is a very classic, there are people on this world and then there are "others" who have special powers and protect the people from each other. In the beginning there were good and bad others and they met in battle. The leader of the good side realised that if the battle wasn't stopped both sides would exterminate each other, so bad and good made a truce. From now on all others would be able to chose which side they would fight for and both sides made up a watch to ensure that balance would be kept between the two.
Of course, there is a legend that one day an other will be born and whichever side he decides to be on will win the battle. Ring familiar? It really does but the movie itself is so different from anything I've ever seen. It's just weird and strange and I have no clue if I should like it or not. *gets all confused*
ETA: Facts is again this year and Corin Nemec and Don Davis are coming. I'm going to have to go, aren't I?
