Well, I know my friend [livejournal.com profile] thunderemerald is a big ol' Tonks/Lupin 'shipper and writes T/L fic. :)

I think you can be very proud! Most of the book relationships did seem very fanfic-ish but I was very happy with them so I'm not going to complain. A lot of fanfic is better than some of the books anyway.

Yay! I think it's so cool that you had it figured out way back in OotP :) I think it's awesome that he's her new patronus. I've been dying for you to get to this part. Every time you've said something like "it's too much to wish for" I've had to practically sit on my hands not to tell you not to worry :)

YAY! Knew you'd like that. I love that this 'ship is now canon. And Harry/Ginny, of course. :)

Out of curiosity, what parts of OotP made you think, "Hey, there's a Lupin/Tonks 'ship in there." I was thinking of rereading for clues, but I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment. ;D

I actually wonder if her patronus isn't a dog like Sirius. I know Harry thinks it's a wolf now, but still...

Well, if it were a Sirius-Dog, that would be sweet, too, because they were long-lost cousins. And Snape would call either one of them weak, but now that I think about it, he may be more inclined to refer to Sirius as weak. It would kind of blow the minds of the Sirius/Lupin shippers, but it's kind of a sweet idea to think of Sirius being the guardian shipper of his last remaining friend and the only relative on his side.

Well, yeah. I read someone else speculating that the theme of the book is "love makes you do strange things," but even with that, I think Tonks' loss of Sirius was a huge part of that. I think she does feel that survivor's guilt, and all everyone wants to do is pat her on the back and say "it isn't your fault, get over it." Poor Tonks.

Well, she's STILL not to that part (she took three days to get through "The Secret Riddle," and right now she's just finished the cave part) so I'm still waiting for that. Bwah. :D
