Fandom meme

1) Total number of fandoms I like: In the strict sense of the word that would be two.
2) My first fandom ever: See, what do you mean by this? "Fandom" as being insane into something? Actively producing things and contributing to an online fandom? Or just being a fan? I never know how to take "fandom", the meaning is so vague. I've always been a fan of the things I watch, in that sense you could probably trace me back to Star Wars or maybe Thundercats as I vividly remember playing that in elemntary with my friends. If you want to be a pain in the ass you can say it's Star Trek as that's the very first (and only show specific) convention I've been to. The X-Files if having books about it counts too.
Online? JAG, I guess, although I only came to know fandom for what it is in Stargate.
3) My most recent fandom: Battlestar Galactica
4) Five fandoms that currently mean a lot to me: Oy. Seriously... important? *rolls eyes* Nothing actually. I've come to a point where they can steal fandom for all I care and just let me watch the show. So let's change the word fandom by "show/movie" and take term important very loosely.
1. Battlestar Galactica. This is it, this is my huge obsession right now. Actually, Kara is my huge obsession. I do love this show, but seeing what I'm doing with my obsession, it seems that I love Kara more than I love BSG. Frak, she's hot.
2. Stargate. It's not as important as it was. In my head, the show ended with S7. S8 was overload. I didn't need this season and I didn't want it either. The only reason I'll watch S9 is because I'm curious about one character... okay two characters. SG, I loved you, but your producers are just milking you for the money and have forgotten about the show. Oh well, maybe they'll surprise me. But dude, I'm not letting go of Sam. Here is what happens when Jara loves a new fandom but can't let go of the old one; she mixes. And Kara/Sam is the perfect mix. Hubba hubba.
I'm still waiting for the shipper league to turn up and take my card because I proclaimed that Jack is getting too old for Sam.
3. Star Trek. It's been a while since I was actively watching and anticipating ST. I think it's been since they killed off my favourite character and ended Voyager. I still love all Treks though (minus OS). They're so pretty and shiny. Yet, I've never and probably won't ever be active in the fandom.
4. Star Wars. Heh, why not?
5. Alien? Dude, I don't know. Add something that you know I like.
Tagging: I'm hereby boycotting the tag on the grounds that I think it's exclusionist and just plain silly. If someone wants to do this meme, then go for it. I've seen a few memes pass me by because I wasn't tagged (although I think I didn't want to do them anyway), and blergh. Who the frak came up with the idea to be an elitist about a frakking meme?
