BSG Episode 6

woodfaceI think this was the weakest episode up until now. The storyline is important though and a lot of what will happen in the future has been determined here but the episode did not grab my attention as much. (Well, except for the part where Starbuck has one very naked leg up on her bed and my brain melted. Frack, the woman is hot. Not pretty, just HOT!)
Poor Tyrol, I'm liking his character more. The Cylons seem to be playing a game with the humans, more specifically with Helo. Either they have a plan with him, or they're trying to see his responses. I want to thwap Boomer for playing with his feelings but on the other side, I am hopeful that she might actually care for him. Oy, sappy me.
Interesting how they suddenly come up with a sort of regulations for the officers. (And how it's hurting my brain for my fic.) So basically there was no harm in relationships before the war. Sex now is bad (which is kinda messed up as they need to reproduce). Or is it just bad between superior officers? Adama seems lient to ignore it, as does the rest of the crew with of course exceptions here and there. Feels like they're still in limbo about this. Although Tyrol's "mistake" has probably pissed Adama off enough to change his mind.
Which sucks because now my muse wants to hold on to canon for Starbuck/Sam. Hello? You're dragging Sam out of SG universe to play in BSG and you want to hold on to canon? Are you crazy? Or just out to give me a headache? Not to mention the emotional conflict that Starbuck goes through. She was Zak's instructor and look where that led her. Which leaves me with the conclusion that she won't get involved with a junior officer again. Frack!
I didn't watch episode 7 as I'm trying to hold back a bit. Apparently there are only 13 episodes in one season. Two of which still have to be aired (a two parter). I will cry when the season is over. It's so shiny and new. And gritty and dark. Heh, and snarky! Yaaaaay!
