The Texas thing isn't new. It's always been that way. And it's not "for educational purposes", they can only be sold as novelty items or as personal massagers. To demonstrate how to use a vibrator in a sexual context is against ... oy ... I think it's a violation of public decency.

There was a big case a few weeks ago where undercover police officers set up a sting as a sex toy party and arrested the hostess. The prosecuting DA eventually asked the judge to throw out the case because it was a huge waste of time.

And yes, I'm pretty sure that, sodomy is illegal in TX. Even between consenting adults in the privacy of their own home.

Hmmm, from what I could tell I would actually say these laws were fairly recent (25 years max?). Early 1900 there already were vibrators and nobody seemed to care.
