So green has announced that they will not be joining any coalition. Which in theory leaves two options: a coalition between liberals, socialists and christians or between christians and extreme right. The first seems the most likely to happen but will leave us with three parties that just don't see eye to eye. There would be so much comprimising it would lead to nothing. The latter is scary and hopefully won't happen because of the outright refusal from the christians (or any other party) to work together with extreme right.

Voices are rising that extreme right should get a chance. The vote of one million people should be taken into account. So the vote of 3 million other people shouldn't? They believe that extreme right can only go two ways when they get power; they will shatter as their points will be proven unreachable or they will lose the extremity and adjust to the situation. I don't think I want to find out. It scares me when I see those people on TV who have voted for extreme right. Yes, it scares me to the same extend as the followers of Bush do. Even more so because this is happening right here.

It scares me because the 14 year old kid across the street who *hit* his grandmother a couple of years ago is already wearing the flemish lion and walking together with the extreme right crowd. It scares me because parents make their child with Down's syndrome wave a flag on an extreme right meeting. It scares me because they're the majority in the Brussels Council. It scares me because they were the biggest party in my home town. It's been the third black sunday.

you're totally right, but if you're given the choice to do an term of office with them right now or wait until they have grown to become the biggest Flemish party in about four or five years, what do you choose? gahh..

:S

i don't know. i hate the idea, but something inside me goes "well, bring it on and get it over with now".. i don't know why. the idea of another million of Flemish voters supporting them sickens me. can't they just disappear into thin air?

we're stuck..
