We now get the cartoon network on our cable.

Now I have this image in my head of Jack being up early in the weekend and watching cartoons. Sam comes down to the living room to finds him like that and settles on his lap with her arms around his neck and his around her waist. They don't say anything, just sit there together and watch cartoons.

Heeee! I'm having this problem in one of my fics -- she's half-sitting on his lap (sideways), he's watching a movie and she's kinda glancing at the TV, and I can see it perfectly in MY head (I imagine my mental image is the same as yours) but I'm worried it sounds like I have her all unnaturally twisted.

People's imaginations should be more forgiving, I say!! Squeee wins out.

Also, as far as the cartoons go, I can imagine her pestering him with lots of annoying questions. "Wasn't he just *flattened* by that boulder?" "Yeah. That's why there are stars over his head." "But.. how is he walking around now?" "He- it's a *cartoon*, Carter!" "I was just asking." "Was your childhood COMPLETELY deprived?"

And I don't think it's unnatural. I sometimes lie half with my back towards the telly and still manage to see it. I don't think there is any problem with that position at all. Write it!
