You know what? I'm gonna rant.
About what? About all that stupid negativity that is starting to grate on my nerves.

Some of you might not like this but I am sick and tired of the whining. So if you think I might offend you, just don't read it, okay?


I've had it. I seriously, utterly had it with all the people that are proclaiming the end of ship every 5 minutes.

Tell me why the hell the directors would be against a story arch that they have been maintaining for 7 years now? Why would they suddenly slant it and sink the ship when they left us with the shippiest season *ever*? Honestly, right now I think some shippers deserve to see the end of ship because their whining is getting beyond ridiculous.

I love my ship. I wasn't fond of Sam/Pete but it wasn't all that bad either. I am still torn about it but the longer this fandom will keep whining over it and trashing characters for it, the more I feel like supporting it.

I love Sam and Jack ship, so I love both Sam *and* Jack. Seems most people just love Jack though and they're trashing Sam for cheating on Jack but at the same time it's alright for Sam to cheat on Pete with Jack in fanfics. Those people really have some screwed up morals.

mrv3000 once wrote a beautiful entry about letting the storyteller say whatever he wants and I agree with that. We are just listening to a story. Sure, I'd like it to end happily but if not, then so be it. So can we please cut down on the hysterics? We have a show that has brought some amazing character developments. They have stayed true to the characters and the relationships while allowing them to develop. I have faith in TPTB to bring me something that will work. Whether it will be a happy shippy ending or not, that's up to them.

Sam is not a hussy. She is not keeping Daniel from Jack, she is not cheating on Jack and she is not a love sick puppy running after her CO. AT has managed to put down a strong character. Granted sometimes I don't agree with all her views but I do believe that she has made Sam who she is and who I love.

So can we now please move on? Chimera happened. You don't have to like it, you don't have to hate it. It happened, it's there; DEAL WITH IT. Just stop trashing everything and everyone and behaving like a brat that isn't getting his way. I swear if I hear one more "ship is dead" or "they're trying to kill the ship" exclamation I am so going to thwap that person good. *You* are not Sam and Jack - thank goodness. What *you* think is right for *you* is not necessarily what *they* should do.

There, I said it. Go unfriend me now if you feel like it.

See, I see more of the puppy in Jack than I do in Sam but we already discussed that. Although I will certainly not object to a more overt sort of puppy behaviour from him.

Might just be! I was mulling over it the other day and had to remember a belgian serie where the woman gets married and her would-be-lover abducts her with a chopper on the wedding day. It wasn't that corny on telly though.

Woo-Hoo! Honestly, I think the majority of people think the same way that you do, at least the ones that I have talked to, but they are just not as vocal as the ones that feel ship as dead. A little crowd can make a lot of noise. :)

Very very well said!
Thankfully I haven't been on the S/J list in ages. I love my ship, I love Sam, I love Jack, I love the interaction between the two characters in the show, I love the idea of them having a happily ever after. And yes, I do get excited when spoilers of shippy scenes pop up on the internet. But when it turns out to be less shippy than claimed at first, that's fine with me. It's TPTB's story, and it's their perogative to take us, the viewers, wherever they deem is right to take us.
Do they make choices I don't agree with? Sure! (why is Daniel back?!?!) Do I moan about it? Nope, I've got better things to do, thanks muchly.
When I crave happily ever after for Sam and Jack, I read fanfic by my fave authors. Ad still watch the show, and watch in wonder where TPTB take us this week.

Speaking of which, I'm off to watch Grace, and catch up some more on the second half of season 7 :-)
